Hi, i how to set sd card as default storage on galaxy s8 memory default to sd external, but when best cycling shoes for road racing in the gallery and i want to organise some pictures from camera saved in sd by adding a new album, still save this new album in the memory device not in SD.
You can also purchase a sandisk ultra micro sd card and download the sandisk memory zone app, an you can transfer music, videos, pics, documents, even back up your entire phones ob to your SD card with the memory zone app, free from Google play. It's very useful and the card is for android devices, way easier than anything else, it does it all for you!
Thanks, I have a sandisk micro card in the phone, is ultra something different or can I still use the app with my card? Mar 8, 1, To be honest, I don't think it will matter unless the app somehow has restrictions on what type of card it will work with.
I haven't used the app, but you should be able to install it vefault see if it does the trick with your existing card. If it doesn't work, and tells you that it needs that specific type of card, then you can consider buying the other card.
But no sense in spending that extra money when the card you have works fine. Thanks sounds exactly what I need.
Ok the app doesn't say you need the special card so going to try it when I get a chance. It seems you move stuff to the SD card same as I have to do now but it sounds like you can see all the files in one shot so that sounds like a nice idea.
Once you have opened the slot and inserted the microSD card, make sure to properly close it so that it is sealed. You may get a popup that asks if you'd like to change the default storage option but, if you don't, you can manually set the storage location.
To manually select the microSD, you'll o want to go to your camera settings. You can do this by tapping on the camera icon and then tapping on the settings gear icon in the upper left hand portion of the camera screen. Scroll down and towards the middle of the screen, you will see an option that says "Storage location.
Tap on "Storage location" and a mini-popup appear that gives the options "Phone" and "SD card. To change it, simply tap on the "SD card" option and it will be changed.
Once you've tapped on "SD card" the mini-popup should close and SD card should be listed under "Storage location. Be respectful, keep it civil and stay on topic.

After tapping Amazon Kindle as shown earlier in Galaxy S8 application manager, you are now directed to app info galay for Kindle App. It tells you internal shared storage is currently used.
In the change storage location pop-out window, you can choose SD card as shown below. As shown above, after you select SD card as the storage location for Kindle app, you can now move the app to SD card.
Please note, although the page says moving app and its data, actually only part of the app data and most downloaded contents will be moved.
In this guide, you can find the storage used is now external storage stirage this app after it is moved to SD card. The only way to recover the icon to app link is to reinstall which puts the storage back to internal!
This defeats to ability to gain internalstorage space.
